Volunteer: Make a Difference

GET INVOLVED AND VOLUNTEER

The Creative Impacts Foundation is open to people who are willing to contribute their time and skills to support the mission and activities of the organisation. Below are some general guidelines and considerations for potential volunteers:

Age

The minimum age for volunteers is 18. However, in some cases, we may accept younger volunteers with the consent and supervision of a parent.

Skills and Expertise

Creative Impacts Foundations is looking for volunteers with specific skills and expertise that fit our mission and activities. To give an example, for our projects that focus on education, volunteers with teaching or tutoring experience are welcome. Similarly, for our health initiatives, we are looking for medical professionals or people with knowledge and experience in the healthcare field.

Engagement

Creative Impacts Foundation requires volunteers to commit to a certain number of hours per week or month. Some projects or tasks may have specific time commitments or duration.

Background Checks

Depending on the nature of the work and the people served, the Creative Impacts Foundation may conduct background checks or require references from potential volunteers to ensure the safety and well-being of the people they serve.

Training/Workshop

Training or briefings are required for some of Creative Impacts Foundation projects. Therefore, training or workshops are offered to volunteers to familiarise them with the organisation’s mission, policies and procedures.

Language Skills

Creative Impacts Foundation sometimes needs to work in multicultural or multilingual environments where language skills, especially in the local language, can be an advantage. Volunteers who know the relevant languages can help better.

Availability and Flexibility

Creative Impacts Foundation may have specific scheduling requirements, especially for assignments related to disaster relief or emergency aid. Therefore, volunteers who are flexible in terms of availability can be an advantage.

Passion and Commitment

One of the most important selection criteria for volunteers wishing to join Creative Impacts Foundation is their genuine passion for the cause and a strong commitment to the organisation’s mission. This Foundation often looks for volunteers who are enthusiastic and committed to making a difference.

Community Organisers

Community organizers are the engines of positive change in their neighbourhoods. They empower residents by mobilizing them for grassroots campaigns. Additionally, community organizers forge strong networks and coalitions, bringing people together to address these challenges and create a lasting impact.

Disaster Workers

Disaster workers are the front lines of relief and recovery. They prepare for and respond to emergencies like natural disasters, providing critical first aid, distributing essential supplies, and offering emotional support to those in need. This crucial work often involves close collaboration with organizations like the Red Cross and other disaster relief teams, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.

Social Workers and Caregivers

Social workers and caregivers are lifelines for those facing challenges.  They provide the essential counselling and psychological support, helping individuals and families navigate crisis situations.  These dedicated professionals often work with vulnerable populations, such as the homeless or survivors of abuse, offering them a path towards healing and stability.
